Frozen pelvis is a severe manifestation of endometriosis, characterised by extensive adhesions that bind pelvic organs together, leading to significant anatomical distortion. This condition predominantly arises in advanced stages of endometriosis, particularly when deeply infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) affects structures such as the rectum, bladder, uterus, and bowel. The formation of dense fibrous tissue and adhesions results in the "freezing" of pelvic organs, complicating both diagnosis and treatment.
